Abstract

The magnetic rotation spectrum of the γ-bands of NO has been photographed at high resolution. The line shapes are fairly well resolved and the relative line intensities may be compared in the various branches. Calculations summing the contributions to the magnetic optical rotation and magnetic circular dichorism of each component of the Zeeman-split lines agree rather well with observations.
