Abstract

The microwave spectrum of 2,2-difluoro-1-methylcyclopropane has been studied in the range 8-38 gHz. Both ground and first excited methyl torsional states were assigned, and from splittings of the latter, the barrier to internal rotation was found to be 2260±150 calories/mole. The dipole moment components are |μa|=2.03D,|μe|=1.19D, and |μe|=0.31D.
