Abstract

Silicon clusters were prepared by laser vaporization and observed by FTIR in neon, argon, and krypton matrices at 4 K. Vibrational frequencies in the $400-600 cm^{-1}$ region were assigned to $Si_{3}-Si_{7}$ on the basis of isotopic satellites and ab initio calculations of frequencies and relative $intensities.^{1}$
