Abstract

The Total Variation Flow (TVF) is a partial differential equation with applications related to image processing and preventative policing. We extend results from the 2016 Kansas State REU by Herrera, Korten, and Saal to characterize the extinction time and approximations by explicit solutions for the TVF.
