Abstract
Archaeological evidence indicates that X-Radium cooking ware patented by Frederick H. Griswold in 1904 was manufactured by the Star Stoneware Co. of Crooksville, Ohio, and the J. W. McCoy Pottery Co., of Roseville, Ohio, ca 1905 to 1911. It is speculated that some may also have been manufactured by the A. E. Hull Pottery Co., Crooksville, of which Griswold was vice-president. Several rare examples of the pottery are described and illustrated, as well as a unique copy of an advertising broadside.
