Abstract
Phosphorescence from the $a^{3}A_{2}$ state of $CH_{2}S, CD_{2}S$, and $CH_{2}$ Se has been observed in the reactions of $F_{2}$ with $CH_{3}SH, CD_{3}SH$, and $CH_{3}Se_{2}CH_{3}$. Details of the vibronic spectra of these molecules will be discussed. The spectral features observed in the reaction of $F_{2}$ with $CS_{2}$ will also be examined as they relate to $CS_{2}$ (a) or FCS(A) being the emitter.
