Abstract

Laser excitation spectra of the monopyrrolides $ZnC_{4}H_{4}N$ and $CdC_{4}H_{4}N$, cooled in a free jet expanison, will be presented. This study represents the first gas-phase specrtroscopic observation of these organometallic radicals. Several electronic transitions of these molecules have been assigned from their excitation spectra. Furthermore, extensive vibrational structure, originating from both metal-ring and intra-ring vibrational modes, has been observed and will be discussed.""
