Abstract

The subject of this research is the photogrammetric measurement and the analyzing of the observation data on five Echo Satellite type inflatable spheres. The data analysis for each sphere comprises: 1) Contour plots for specific areas of the sphere; 2) Establishing the best-fitting sphere, locating the center of such sphere and finding the radial distances of specific points on the surface of the sphere from this center; 3) Computing the radii of curvature at specific surface points of the sphere; and 4) Determining the arc heights at mid-points of segments of the sphere at specific locations.
