Abstract
The Raman spectra of the gaseous, liquid and solid phases of cis-2,3-epoxybutane as well as the infrared spectra of the gaseous and solid phases have enabled the assignment of the normal modes of this molecule. The Raman data of the solid indicates that there are at least 2 molecules per unit cell. The gas phase thermodynamic functions have also been calculated based on our assignment.
