Description

Demonstration woodlot 42 miles south of Ottawa, Ontario, along Kings Highway No. 16. The Ontario Forestry Department has several good woodlands which are located along main highways labeled in this manner. This woodland consists of sugar maple, basswood, black spruce, red oak, and hop-hornbeam. On the opposite side of the road is a stand of eastern white cedar, tamarack, black spruce, and white pine.
