Abstract
The absolute intensities of rotational lines of the acetylene bands at 3.04, 7.53, and 13.7 microns have been measured at temperatures of 150 K, 200 K, and 297 K. Hydrogen and nitrogen were used as broadening gases, and the pressure broadening determined for these gases at the different temperatures. The broadeners employed as well as the temperature range of the measurements make these spectra useful for interpretation of observations of the spectra of the major planets and Titan. The spectrum of the cooled gas in free of the ``hot banda'' observed at room temperature, simplifying the interpretation of the data.
