Abstract
The microwave spectra of two conformers of trans-l-metnoxy-l, 3-butadiene, $CH_{3} OCH:CHCH:CH_{2}$, have been studied in the region 18 to 40 GHz. The conformer in which the methyl group is cis to the $C_{1} C_{2}$ double bond has rotational and centrifugal distortion constants; $A = 12 642 MHz, B = 1607. 61 MHz, C = 1439 .64 MHz, D_{jk} = 1.72 kHz$ and $D_{J} = 0.129 kHz$ The second conformer (methyl group trans) has $B + C {\simeq} 2615 MHz$. The spectrum of this conformer shows prominent vibrational satellites
