Abstract

The microwave spectra of (CH3)3SiH,(CH3)3SiCH, and (CH3)3SiCCCCH, as well as some of their Si isotopomers have been studied with FTMW spectroscopy. (CH3)3SiCCCCH was generated by passing a jet, consisting of a 1% one to one mixture of (CH3)3SiCCH and acetylene in an argon carrier gas, through a 900 volt discharge. The internal rotational splitting of (CH3)3SiH and (CH3)3SiCCH have been observed.
