Abstract

The Fourier Transform Spectrometer at the McMath complex at Kitt Peak National Observatory has been used to obtain high resolution (2.5⋅10−3cm−1) spectra of the ν2 and ν4 bands of silane (SiH4). A preliminary linelist along with line strengths will be presented. Silane has recently been detected in an astronomical source, and an application of the laboratory data involving the calculation of a synthetic astronomical spectrum will also be presented.
