Abstract
The Fourier Transform Spectrometer at the McMath complex at Kitt Peak National Observatory has been used to obtain high resolution $(2.5 \cdot 10^{-3} cm^{-1})$ spectra of the $\nu_{2}$ and $\nu_{4}$ bands of silane $(SiH_{4})$. A preliminary linelist along with line strengths will be presented. Silane has recently been detected in an astronomical source, and an application of the laboratory data involving the calculation of a synthetic astronomical spectrum will also be presented.
