Abstract

Dipole moments for highly excited virbrational levels of formaldehyde in the χ~1A1 ground electronic state have been measured by utilizing the recently developed technique of Stimulated Emission Pumping (SEP) in conjunction with the Stark effect. Moments for the overtone and combination bands of the ν2 and ν4 vibrational modes are measured with better than 1% precision.
