Abstract
Terrestrial and aquatic gastropods as well as fresh water naiads recovered from the Late Prehistoric Howard Baum Site (33-Ro-270), Ross Co., Ohio, are identified and inventoried. Naiad collecting does not appear to have been an important economic component at the site. Interpretation of the assemblage is complicated by the likelihood that it is contaminated by material from a marl of indeterminate (but no doubt post-Pleistocene) origin.
