Resonance Raman scattering has been observed in $Br2,I2,BrCl,ICl$ and IBr gas, with excitation energy above the convergence limit of the $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">3</mrow>}\Pi 0+\to 1\Sigma +$ transition of these molecules. The argon ion laser lines use for excitation were those at 5145, 5017, 4965, 4880, and $4765\backslash AA$. Overtone sequences up to the 10th harmonic were recorded. The difference between resonance Raman effect and resonance fluorescence (observed with excitation energy below the covergence limit in $Cl2,Br2$ and $I2$) will be discussed in some detail.
