Abstract

The Raman-shifted output of a single YAG-pumped dye laser has been used to produce two-photon transitions from the ground $X^{1}\Sigma{^{+}}_{g}$ state to the $2^{1}\Sigma{^{+}}_{g}$ state to the $^{7}Li_{2}.$ The lower vibrational levels of this excited state have been studied by Barakat $et al.^{1}$; our work extends the measurements to the dissociation limit at $v = 24$. The molecular constants and potential curve will be presented.
