Abstract

The force constants reported in the preceding paper (Abstract E5) for $C_{2}F_{4}$ and $C_{2}Cl_{4}$ have been used with simple interpolation to calulate directly the fundamental frequencies of all five fluorochloroethylenes, viz., $C_{2}F_{3}Cl$, trans-$C_{2}F_{2}Cl_{2}$, cis-$C_{2}F_{2}Cl_{2}$, asym.-$C_{2}F_{2}Cl_{2}$, and $C_{2}FCl_{3}$. C\^{\prime}{o}mparison of the observed frequencies with those calculated reveals generally good agreement.
