Abstract

Combined diode laser and interferometric spectra have made possible an analysis of the υ6 bands of H2O2. At this point in excess of 500 transitions originating from the torsionally split components of the ground state have been assigned. We have refit the ground state torsion-rotation transitions and have investigated both the asymmetric top (A) and near-symnetric (5) reduced Hamiltonians of J.K.G. Watson through octic centrifugal effects. Because of the near-degeneracy in the inertial constants (BC) the A-reduction was investigated in both the Ir and IIIr representations. Using the results of this ground state analysis (held fixed at eighth order) we have analyzed the torsionally split υ6 bands at 7.8μm.
