Abstract
Combined diode laser and interferometric spectra have made possible an analysis of the $\upsilon_{6}$ bands of $H_{2}O_{2}$. At this point in excess of 500 transitions originating from the torsionally split components of the ground state have been assigned. We have refit the ground state torsion-rotation transitions and have investigated both the asymmetric top (A) and near-symnetric (5) reduced Hamiltonians of J.K.G. Watson through octic centrifugal effects. Because of the near-degeneracy in the inertial constants $(B\sim C)$ the A-reduction was investigated in both the $I^{r}$ and $III^{r}$ representations. Using the results of this ground state analysis (held fixed at eighth order) we have analyzed the torsionally split $\upsilon_{6}$ bands at $7.8\mu m$.
