Abstract

The fundamental regions of deuterium sulfide have been studied in the infrared using a small commercial grating instrument and a large vacuum-grating spectrometer. Type B bands are found, with the R branches of much greater intensity than the P branches. The molecule is assumed non-rigid in the analysis, for which new computer programs were written. Molecular constants will be given, and a comparison of the theoretical and experimental intensity distributions will be shown.
