Abstract

Infrared studies have been made of 12CO213CO2 mixed crystals over a wide range of concentration. The absorption frequencies of the 12C18O16O and 13C18O16O species resulting from naturally occurring 18O, and the shapes of the 12C16O2 and 13C16O2 bands, show definite dependence on the 12CO2:13CO2 concentration ratio. The quantitative effects of concentration on band shapes and positions will be presented and discussed.
