Abstract

Vibrational circular dichroism spectra in the hydrogen stretching region between 4000 and $2000 cm^{-1}$ win be presented and Compared with previously published results on this class of $molecules.^{1}$ Molecules currently under study are the cyclic dipeptides: L-alanyl-L-alanine, L-alanylglycine, L-prolyl-L-serine, L-prolyl-D-valine and L-prolyl-L-tryptophan; the penta-peptide molecules methione-enkephalin and leucine-enkephalin, as well as transition metal complexes of alanine such as bis(L-alaninato) copper(II). Sampling procedures and structural inferences obtained from the VCD data will be discussed.
