Abstract

The 5μm vib-rotational spectrum of 12CD3F exhibits a large number of perturbations as a result of interactions between many of the 24 vibrational levels in the region (∼1920−2340cm−1). Many of the localized resonances have been identified and the interpretation and analysis is continuing. The ultimate goal is the complete analysis of the observed 5μm spectrum. The fundamentals υ1 and υ4 are the principle bands in the region and they exhibit local crossings throughout most of the spectrum. Other bands that contribute significantly to the resonances are 2υ5,2υ20,2υ30,υ2+υ5 and υ3+υ5. The resonances will be discussed and the effects on the spectrum will be detailed.
