Abstract

The cyclopropane dimethylamine $(CYC\bullet DMA) complex is the last of three cyclopropane amine complexes that we have studied using a pulsed nozzle, molecular beam Fourier transform microwave spectrometer. Assignment of the spectra reveals a stacked structure in which the amine is positioned above the cyclopropane ring plane. A comparison will be made with this complex and the others in the series that we have examined. The rotational spectrum of cyclopropane methanol (CYCMET) is complicated by two internal motions, causing the spectrum to be split into many transitions. A fit of the A states has been obtained and efforts to understand the spectrum and structure will be discussed.
