Knowledge Bank

The laser Raman spectrum of tetrachlorocyclopropene in the liquid and solid phases has been recorded. All of the polarized bands of the $A1$, symmetry block have been observed. The spectral data, which include a reinvestigation of the infrared spectrum of the liquid, have been interpreted in detail and vibrational assignments are presented.
