Abstract

Corrections for magnetic hyperfine splittings are necessary in measurement of rotational relaxation rates and of the speed-dependence of rotational relaxation rates from transient emission measurements. For some systems, transient spectroscopy shows promise for measurement of hyperfine splittings and intensities. Results are presented for H2O,H2CO,15N2O, and \C2H4O.
