Abstract

Absorption spectra of the A3Π(1α)−X1Σg+ system of I79Brand I81Br have been recorded and analyzed. The absorption spectra were recorded at 0.01cm−1 resolution with a Bruker IFS 120 HR Fourier transform spectrometer and a White-type cell. In addition, laser excitation spectra were recorded with a Ti:sapphire ring laser (Coherent 899-29). Improved vibrational and rotational constants, dissociation energies and long-range potential coefficients are being determined for both electronic states. IBr may prove useful wavelength calibration of Ti:sapphire lasers.
