Abstract
Certain planar systems, of which the Ni, Pt, and Pd glyoximates and the Magnus-type salts discussed in the preceeding paper are examples, have been found to exhibit strong solid-state perturbations. It will be shown that the striking spectral changes noted in these systems are all basically similar and the nature of the solid state effects manifested here will be discussed in terms of recent experiments on Magnus-type salts carried out in this laboratory.
