Knowledge Bank

The Raman spectra of the $\nu 1$ and $\nu 4$ fundamentals of methyl fluoride $d3$ have been observed with resolution ranging from $0.06cm-1$ to $0.40cm-1$. The Q branches of $2\nu 2$ and $2\nu 5$ which fall in the $\nu 4$ region, have also been examined at $0.06cm-1$ resolution. The analysis of the observed spectra and the resulting molecular constants will be discussed.
