The Raman spectra of fused $AlCl3-NaCl$, $AlBr3-NaBr1$ and $ALI3-NaI$ systems have been recorded at various mole ratios. The nature of the molecular species present in the region 50-50 mole percent $Alx3-NaX$ to pure $Al2X6$ has been investigated. In particular, Raman lines characteristic of the species $AlX4-$ and $Al2X7-$ have been observed.
