Abstract

We have constructed a strip line double resonancc cell that allown us to perform microwave detected, microwave-optical double resonance experiments for frequencies of 1.8 GHz and below. We have used this cell, combined with a excimer pumped double dye laser, to study the v2=0,1, and 2 vibrational states of the A electronic state of ND3. We obtained rotained resolved spectra up to the 1412 level of v2=1. Combining this data with earlier data on NH3,NH2D, and NHD2, also obtained via double resonance, we have estimated r0 and the diagonal force constants and compared these with ab initio extimates. We ulso established the vibrational and rotational stite dependence of the homogeneous width which reflects the predissociation lifetime
