Abstract

A significant increase in the sensitivity of Molecular Beam Electric Resonance Spectroscopy has made it possible to study higher vibrational and rotational levels of the metastable $a^{3}\Pi$ state of CO. The purpose of this work is to understand in greater detail the perturbations of the v = 4 and 5 levels of $a^{3}\Pi$ by $V = 0$ and 1 of $a^{3}\Sigma$.
