The strengths, self-broadened widths, and foreign gas broadened widths for A, $N2$, and air have been measured for several lines in the 10.4 micron $CO2$ band using the laser $method.1$ The strengths and foreign broadened widths were derived from the transmittance vs. pressure curves assuming a Voigt line-profile. The ratio of line-strength to self-broadened width was determined from the constant transmittance observed for pressures above about $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">1</mrow>}/10$ atmosphere.
