Abstract

“A grating spectrometer has been designed for high resolution from the visible region to 5 microns. By using 8 inch gratings of 10,000 1/in. and 15,000 1/in. double pass, a resolution of $0.03 cm^{-1}$ or better is achieved. Some of the bands of $NH_{3}$ and $CH_{4}$ have been measured and illustrations of the results will be given.”
