The technique of IR laser sidebands has been applied to both molecules. On $NF3$, a saturation spectrum of the $\nu 1$ fundamental has been recorded. On $PF5$, the $\nu 1$ fundamental $(\sim 946cm-1)$ has been investigated up to $J\prime \prime =76$. As a result, 11 parameters have been determined, yielding an overall standard deviation of 207 kHz. Around $1020cm-1$, in the range of the $\nu 5/2\nu 6$ vibrations, a large number of saturation dips has been recorded with a resolution of about 100 kHz, but the spectrum has not been assigned so far.
