Abstract

The technique of IR laser sidebands has been applied to both molecules. On NF3, a saturation spectrum of the ν1 fundamental has been recorded. On PF5, the ν1 fundamental (∼946cm−1) has been investigated up to J=76. As a result, 11 parameters have been determined, yielding an overall standard deviation of 207 kHz. Around 1020cm−1, in the range of the ν5/2ν6 vibrations, a large number of saturation dips has been recorded with a resolution of about 100 kHz, but the spectrum has not been assigned so far.
