Abstract

The Πna3A2X1A1 transition of thiophosgene (CSCl2) is re-examined using a tunable Rhodamine 110 dye laser. Excitation spectra are recorded in the 545-572 nm region. Spectra of the phosphorescence resulting from various features in the excitation spectrum are also observed. Several previously unassigned and newly obtained features are assigned. This work includes extension of the excitation spectra reported by Lombardi, et al.,1 to shorter wavelengths and observation of both excitation and phosphorescence spectra at higher resolution.
