Abstract

We have run a high resolution infrared absorption spectrum of 2ν1, the Se-H stretch overtone of HDSe, and assigned a total of approximately 300 transitions among the isotopic species containing Se isotopes 82, 80, 78, 77 and 76. Using Typkes1 reduced Hamiltonian, we analyzed all isotopes simultaneously, with a standard deviation = 0.005cm−1. Our ground state constants were obtained from a simultaneous least squares fit of our ground state combination differences and Veselago’s microwave data. The upper state constants were obtained from a least squares fit of the spectral lines, keeping the ground state constants fixed. For HD80Se we obtained: (in cm−1) [ \begin{array}{ll} Ground\ State & Upper\ State\ A =7.9530_{39} & A = 7.5034_{11}\ B =4.0174_{08} & B = 4.0167_{49}\ C =2.6328_{36} & C = 2.5853_{22}\ & V_{0} = 4617.89_{57}\ \end{array} ]
