Abstract

The extinction coefficients of N4S4 and S8 vapors have been photoelectrically measured between 30000\AA and 1600\AA. Both gases show a number of broad structreless absorption maxima. The extinction coefficients of N2S2 vapor have been photoelectrically measured between 3000\AA and 1050\AA. The absorption bands show considerable vibrational structure. Similarities and differences of these spectra will be discussed. This research was supported in part by the Air Force Cambridge Research Laboratories, under contracts AF19(604)-7358 and AF19(604)-3836.
