Abstract

Absorber-speed-dependent collisional relaxation times, $T_{2}$ and $T_{2}$, for the $J = 0 \rightarrow 1$ transition of OCS have been measured as a function of pressure of the foreign gasses, He and Ar, by the technique of transient microwave spectroscopy. These relaxation times have been interpreted using the Infinite Order Sudden Approximation as applied by $Green.^{1}$
