Abstract
Window Autism Simulation is an open source program kit to demonstrate the challenges children with Autism face while participating in sports. This experience is meant to challenge myths, misconceptions and stereotypes about Autism, specifically sensory issues. Window uses familiar and relatable settings to communicate key aspects of Autism, immersing the public in an honest portrayal of the challenges children with Autism face while participating in sports. This experience is meant to help the public to better understand Autism and the change they can make. Window is for those who would like to be more educated on the challenges children with Autism face and want to learn how to better interact with them. By following the program and user guide, users will be engaged in a hands-on demonstration. The demonstration will allow users to experience the physical and cognitive impairments of hypersensitivity and hyposensitivity.
