Abstract

The spectra of all 3 fundamental bands and 2 overtone bands, $2\nu_{1}$ and $2\nu_{3}$, of OClO, have been obtained with a resolution of 0.004-0.006 $cm^{-1}$, and the analysis of these spectra has now been completed. Last year at this meeting, we reported the experimental details of this work as well as a description of a computer program specifically designed to deal with the spectra of molecules where spin-rotation effects are present. Details of an analysis of the $\nu_{1}$ band were also presented. This year we discuss the analysis of the remaining fundamentals and the observed overtone bands (the $2\nu_{2}$ band is very weak and overlapped by the strong $\nu_{1}$ fundamental). Rovibrational parameters for all excited states have been determined including centrifugal distortion spin-rotation constants. With all the accumulated information, including all the available microwave data, we have also carried out a ground state combination difference refitting which has yielded very precise parameters for the ground state. The computer program has been extended to deal with the intensities of the absorption transitions which permits us to reproduce the observed intensity patterns of the split rovibrational lines. Details of this part of the program will be also presented.
