Abstract

Lattice regions of CO2,CS2, and OCS have been investigated using laser and Toronto are excitation. The lattice modes were recorded for temperatures down to liquid nitrogen temperature. Values derived for CO2 during this investigation differ substantially from those previously reported.1 The Raman frequency of the mode found for OCS compares favorably with that established from infrared work.2 A comparison of the frequencies of the bands found in the lattice region with those appearing in combination with internal vibrations will be discussed.
