Abstract

Over 100 absorption lines in the ν3 and ν3+ν2−ν2 bands of NCS− have been detected using velocity modulation spectroscopy with a diode laser. The ν3 band origin lies near 2066cm−1. Additional absorptions have been tentatively assigned to the ν3+ν1−ν1 band and should enable determination of the equilibrium moment of inertia.
