Abstract

Cyanoacetylene (HC3N) has been tenatively identified as a constituent of Titan's atmosphere. Absolute infrared intensities of the strong absorption bands of crystalline HC3N have been obtained in our laboratory. These data have been utilized to calculate the complex refractive indeces of crystalline HC3N in the infrared region. These parameters are of utility in the modeling of Titan's atmosphere.
