Abstract

Cyanoacetylene $(HC_{3}N)$ has been tenatively identified as a constituent of Titan's atmosphere. Absolute infrared intensities of the strong absorption bands of crystalline $HC_{3}N$ have been obtained in our laboratory. These data have been utilized to calculate the complex refractive indeces of crystalline $HC_{3}N$ in the infrared region. These parameters are of utility in the modeling of Titan's atmosphere.
