Abstract

A theoretical study is made of a proposed analytical photogrammetric method to improve selenodetic control on the lunar far side. Photographic data generated from simulated Apollo series missions during the transearth trajectory is used in a block traingulation least-squares adjustment computation which provides a simultaneous solution for selenographic coordinates of selected points. Results presented indicate a significant improvement in selenodetic control may be achieved over a limited portion of the lunar far side surface.
