Abstract
Advances in laser technology have finally produced a workable, mixed gas (Ar+Kr) laser. The availability of blue, green, yellow and red excitation lines has proven to be useful in obtaining the Raman spectra of many different colored compounds and in the study of the resonance Raman effect. Examples will be given to show the advantages of a multi-line over a single line laser source.
