A new Rydberg series of electronic states has been observed in KrD which can be described in terms of a series of p-complexes. The first member of the series, which consists of a $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">2</mrow>}\Sigma +$ and a $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">2</mrow>}\Pi$ state separated by $600cm-1$ shows little sign of $\ell$-uncoupling. The remaining members of the series exhibit rapidly decreasing separations between the $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">2</mrow>}\Sigma +$ and the $\mathrm{<mrow\; data-mjx-texclass="ORD">2</mrow>}\Pi$ states. The last members of he series have the structure of completely $\ell$-uncoupled [case(d) p-complexes.
