Abstract

We report the multiplexing (use in tandem) of degenerate four wave mixing (DFWM) and laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopies to probe vibronic bands of jet-cooled $NO_{2}$ near 487 nm. The multiplexing of nonlinear and linear laser spectroscopies is a promising method for elucidation of molecular parameters such as transition line strength, number density, and temperature. We demonstrate that for $NO_{2}$ the multiplexing of LIF and DFWM allows the determination of relative line strength factors, relative level populations, and ***lucidation of the transition dipole moment dependence of the DFWM signal. The influence of hyperfine depolarization on DFWM signal intensities will be briefly addressed.
