Abstract
Vibrational Circular Dichroism (VCD) and absorption spectra between $3200 cm^{-1}$ and $1200 cm^{-1}$ will be presented for several trans-substituted cyclopropanes which have also been deuterated at the trans-1,2 positions. This includes some of the first measurements of VCD for bending modes. Assignments of many of the C-H stretching and $CH_{2}$ bending modes have been made via the deuterium exchange experiments. VCD has been measured for the C-D stretching modes and VCD of the deuterated molecules will be compared with that of the undeuterated species. Trends in the VCD data will be discussed and compared with theoretical predictions.
